Healthy Homes

Healthy Homes Programs empower neighborhood residents through community organizing for healthier communities, civic engagement, housing quality improvements, and affordable housing development. Our goals and purposes include:

  • Train and work alongside residents on resident identified priority organizing efforts to improve the quality of Fresno housing
  • Use participatory action research and data collected on conditions in resident’s homes to help drive housing policy improvements in Fresno
  • Explore and guide FIRM roles in affordable housing development
  • Be informed of and offer input on advocacy about affordable housing and housing quality issues through FIRM and housing partners such as the Relational Culture Institute, Fresno Housing Alliance, and others

For more information on the Healthy Homes Program, contact Program Director, Rev. Sophia DeWitt
