FIRM Family and Community Partners Preschool earned an Accreditation in 2011 from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)-the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.
NAEYC Accreditation is important because our parents know their child is getting the best early learning experiences possible in a quality environment. The program offers low teacher-child ratios. One teacher for every eight children ensures the children are getting a developmentally appropriate program with attention they deserve. The goal is for every child to leave our program confident and ready to start Kindergarten.
Our teaching staff are trained and highly qualified in Early Childhood Education.
We offer a multicultural, child directed curriculum which reflects their interests. The children engage in activities that naturally integrate math, language, literacy, and science into their daily routines. Our program fosters opportunities for self expression and developmentally appropriate activities that help children develop school readiness skills. The development of each child’s self identity within the context of his or her cultural heritage and appreciation for diversity is enhanced by our program. Support from our multi-lingual staff will help develop language and literacy skills for English language learners.
We are very excited to announce that in August of 2013 we will open a new “Family Literacy Program” on the FIRM campus. The program is geared toward families with children ages 0-5 years old in addition to older siblings as requested. Our program will offer families the opportunity to work together to build their literacy skills and school readiness for their children. We will offer phonics, reading, writing, computers activities and much, much more. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months!
We are now taking enrollment applications for the upcoming school year. If you would like more information call us at 559-487-1500 ext 106.
